The Road to Voting
Moments of mass voting are central to the experience of being a contemporary citizen. Yet little is known about this experience. How does it feel to vote? Filmed in the UK and Germany in 2009 and 2010, this video essay takes us both to the centre and the back-stages of the voting machinery. Different voices emerge from these diverse scenes. They invite us to reflect on the aesthetic and affective dimensions of voting and the difficult art of choosing.
