Episode 4- Opinions on Olympic Sponsorship and the Final Selection Criteria
PODCAST SERIES: The Effects of Sponsorship and Commercialisation on Overall Olympic Spirit The main focus for this episode is to gain an understanding on the student’s point of view with reference to commercialisation in the Olympics. The argument that will be presented is whether or not it is acceptable for Olympic sponsors to have selection criteria allowing them to become official Olympic partners. Students will respond on how they feel about the huge marketing and advertising budget of large corporations and whether or not ground rules can be put into place by the international Olympic committee to make a decision on allowing certain companies to be involved in Olympic promotion.
