The Responsibility to Protect: Operationalisation or Marginalisation? On 30 November 2017, the United Nations Assistant Secretary-General and Special Adviser on the Responsibility to Protect, Dr Ivan Šimonović, visited the University of Leeds to deliver the second annual lecture of the European Centre for the Responsibility to Protect (ECR2P). The title of the lecture was “Responsibility to Protect: Operationalisation or Marginalisation?”.
