From Farm to Fork: the climate impact of our food
Climate impacts occur at every point in the journey of our food. Food production is responsible for 25% of the world's greenhouse gas emissions, though up to a third of this food is wasted, either lost along the supply chain or discarded by retailers or consumers. In this interdisciplinary session we hear from leading researchers about the climate impacts of the food supply chain, including sustainable agriculture, consequences for consumer behaviour, and food waste. This event was part of Connecting Voices for Climate Action, a week of events convened by the University of Leeds to build local to global ambition for COP26 and beyond.
