Partnerships for Climate Action in the North
In light of a new set of measures to 'level-up' the North, there is a need to ensure that regional development aligns with the UK government's campaigns ahead of COP26 to strengthen societal resilience to climate change and reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. People and place are at the heart of this transition. This discussion with regional MPs addresses opportunities for partnerships on climate action and implementing the COP26 agenda in Yorkshire and the Humber. It considers the role of individuals, businesses and the University in delivering a resilient, net-zero transition. This event was part of Connecting Voices for Climate Action, a week of events convened by the University of Leeds to build local to global ambition for COP26 and beyond.
